My wife and I have both switched to diesel around 2007, that’s 24 combined years of driving and I’ve never come across this phenomenon. We do a good 15,000 miles a year each and I would never go back to gasoline. We live in ireland where gas costs $7 a us gallon so diesel is a no brainer, the country is mild and wet, ideal conditions you would think for bacterial growth yet I’ve never come across it. The US would be an ideal country for diesel cars especially with big open highways but I honestly think there’s an anti diesel lobby there
