My Dad had a 1973 Pickup truck with a Straight 6 cylinder engine. That was when they started putting all that Polution Junk on it. You had to crank it at least 10 times to get it out of the driveway.

People need to learn to only use the dealer for warranty and recall work. Outside of that, do it yourself, or take it to an independent mechanic you can at least semi-trust.
As fast as Vehicles warm up now I wouldn't worry about remote start. Just wear Warm Clothes.

These newer Subaru's are not bad vehicles, but they are very pricey at this time. The older ones are much cheaper and better.
