Oh look, a video on the same year and color as my GTI. Its all true.
I don't know about the Golf 5 US spec, but in Europe I think one tail light has the back up light and the other has the fog light. So that could explain why one side is "not working".
How complicated can you make a light? A switch, some wire and a bulb. Why do I need a computer between my switch and the bulb? Give me old school.
