I thought a Nissan takes the blue coolant?

I changed my knock sensors on my 2004 f150 4×4 5.4, it was ridiculous.

226k on a Nissan? They got the full life out of it.

My Nissan pathfinder 2006 had the same problem and I had to change the gasket because it melted on top of the cylinder because some mechanic scammed me after i took the car to him to see why it's over heating. It was only a leak from a small pipe but he lied and told me it needs a water pump and thermostat but in the end he didn't even change them and charged me. When I went to another mechanic and damage was already done I was truly shocked.

While it usually gets into the 40 degree winter days here in Houston – pulling out that thermostat will mean increased warm up time for both your engine and your heater in your car. Burr!! Might want to install a lower degree thermostat or replace the OEM unit (thermostat) before winter!

Scotty I did thos same thing because of a leak in my Nissan. After that the next couple of days my truck was going up a hill and started loosing power…Next it died…hasnt cranked since and when I try to jump it off it turns over REALLY slow as if the battery is dead. I changed the timing chains about 2 years ago at Nissan for 3600 bucks. Right before all this, the only problem the truck had was a vibration under it and in the gas pedal that felt like a U-Joint going out(putting in reverse loud clank) and Only codes Im showing are O2 sensors and KnockSenors. Any idea of where to start or WHAT IN THE H_LL MIGHT BE THE ISSUE IN MY TRUCK???

What about useing that head gasket sealer for a heater core? Should that also be a last resort? Obviously replacing the heater core is the best option but as I. Sure you know there sometimes in the hardest place to get to

So if this works do you leave the thermostat out. Or after it seals and work out it back in.

Just remember the head gasket sealer should only be used as a last resort, replacing the head gasket is always the best option if you can afford it or are able to do it yourself
