Many years ago, I drove my first car which was a 90 Legend long before I knew anything about fixing them. I drove around for a while with a clicking half shaft until one night while pulling into a friend's driveway it snapped. The car immediately came to a stop with the passenger fender resting on its now disconnected wheel. Fortunately the driveway was wide enough to drive around it, so got it towed the next morning. I'm still convinced that I was lucky it snapped while I was going ~5mph instead of at highway speeds on public streets. Even at 30mph it could have been catastrophic.

According to the dealer my axles was leaking, this was 60-70000 miles ago, car still runs perfectly fine, no noises, nothing. It will be 180000 tomorrow and nothing has broken yet, original brakes too and it's Scotty's favorite one Fiat 500 😉
