Hey, guy with gmc jimmy cheack something called the fuel injector spider, from my experience the vortec engines have proablems with that (we have two 98 gmc pickups with 350s, very common proablem) I think if you take it to a shop they can check the spider.

scotty, the plugs shown at 4:08 are actually optimal, rich and lean. The one on the right is lean and the one on the left is optimal. Not nit picking but I know that you like to get it right…..and that ain't

Hey Scotty I have 03 4Runner and been getting this milkshake sludge under my oil cap and oil in my intake air filter. The oil itself seems fine and I have no loss of coolant. I'm about to change my PCV valve… anything else you recommend I do? How do I get that oil residue out of my intake?

We had a GMC Yukon hybrid that we got lemon lawed because it would shut down and lock the steering while driving. Even happened on the highway

Cars are a crap shoot. Scotty can give you some pointers, but at the end of the day, it's so random. Not to mention your mechanic might be greasy, adding to your "problems".

Syntheric oil is a scam. It's not even synthetic lol. Look into it 🙂 Just use reghlar cheap oil. And double the time for changes. Marketing!

One of your better Q/A videos. What you said about the CANBUS getting compromised in a crash — it's also a reason why I avoid cars in the 20 +/- year age, regardless of miles, because you can have wiring fails over time from bumping around in normal use as grommets and fasteners / connectors wear out. Just merely replacing a wiring harness can be a big job in terms of getting to it. But is there any way to test for that up front … other than generally looking at the state of the wiring and hoping for the best?
