If the engine/transmission combination isn't compatible than either transmission or the engine needs to be changed in order for it to be compatible. Buying conversion stuff to try and make it work will compromise the integrity of the drivetrain. It will probably end up just breaking and falling apart. Personally, if it were my car I would not have confidence that the drivetrain would hold up.
$450 is what I paid for a headliner installed last fall (in a 2006), so I would imagine 2k-3k in labor for entire deal . Just a guess

Why did you allow customers to pick a combo that was going to be a hastle to make it work.
Minnie is pretty strong taking Petes crap all the time.
But I get why Pete gets mad fixing these cars, its exactly as frustrating. When you go an extra 100 miles for the client and he's accusing you of his own stupid mistakes its infuriating.

Sorry to laugh but as a 1 man show myself I truly feel Ur pain n Frustrations on the situation. I'm personally in the middle of painting a dodge cummins quad cap. Had a full hip replacement Sept 23 last year. I had 15-20 min of masking left before wiping it down n priming and my damn Hip dislocated foot facing 90 Deg to the left knee moving left n right vs forward n back. Had to call my son for help. So for 15-20 min I just played TREE I couldn't move of even get to the ground. LOL Surgeon says Take 6 weeks let the tendons what not heal. I'm scheduled to go in the booth Saturday! Customer is not gonna be happy. Just picked up another job with a 10K budget I'm probably gonna have to decline as well. When shit hits the fan it splatters all over the room! LOL
