Using a Seam Ripper to open up wiring harnesses is a little mechanic hack I learned years ago. Its safer, quicker and you can get seam rippers super cheap. Or steal them from mom’s sewing kit. #shorts #humblemechanic #trending

Definitely do more of these. You guys. Don't use your wife's seam ripper. Go get your own. Same with cookie sheets, baking pans and a few other kitchen items. Lots of handy uses in the shop.

I'm the first one to grab an improbable tool from an implausible source to accomplish an unachievable goal… But this is one trick I've completely missed.

What's worse is, while my wife is a culinary alchemist, she can't sew a button on, so I do the sewing for the family, and I go through one or two seam rippers a year, so I'm pretty familiar with the tool.

Snap on wire connector kit has one in it with the comfort grip handle. (Have my moms stitch ripper in the tool box as well.)

Baby powder in every one of my tool boxes. You know how its a bitch to put on gloves when youre hands are damp or wet? Baby powder fixes that issue in 5 seconds 🤟🤟🤟
