i know this is old but, Next time use a zip lock freezer bag to mix your bondo and pipe it out like you would a cake. Works on a bunch of jobs really good!
I’d say strip it and rewrap it with whatever material you choose then you make it personalized and one of a kind

A dash isn't expensive.
Bro I got tired watching how much work he did and I'm laying in bed
Step 1. Remove dash.
Step 2. Paint firewall flat black.
Step 3. Reinstall gauge cluster.
Project done.
How he reacted when he put the IPC shroud on his head. Was the funniest thing I seen from donut media.
Wouldnt it be better to just pour a little silicone on good part of the dash to copy inverse texture on the silicone and them imprint it on the fixed spot then using vinyl sheet?
