I'm keeping my cars until I die. The dealer doesn't even fix them most of the time when you take them there. They just get trained to fix a few things that go wrong and have no interest in diagnosing other problems.
It's getting funny now GM wants another bailout from the government the last time it cost 39 something billion dollars and they haven't paid it back this is getting ridiculous

The good news is, they get back what they give out. Maybe they should give out good stuff so they can get back good stuff.
Don't buy GM….people need to put an end to it by boycotting like they did in the old days. Companies have become too powerful and greedy and need to be brought back down to reality.

hey you know in the automotive industry you do have the right to repair you can try and use aftermarkets scan tool or software and you have full access to the parts and you also have the right to buy a oem service repair manual subscription or an aftermarket subscription (alldata) and you also have the right to buy the OEM software and VCI the same way every mechanic has done so for years ……….now with companies like apple not making parts public or allowing public to buy manuals or service tools that's an issue and well the diagnostic software is proprietary property and they have full right to not give this information out for free nor should we be so arrogant to think it should be but the do sell it publicly…….the only people that really complain about sutomanufatures and the right to repair are the ones that want everything for free and the wold does not work that way …if your going to buy a Vehicle or a Pieces of equipment and you wish to do the work for your self then you have to buy the tools ……. its kinda like saying well I need screwdrivers and wrenches so GM should give these to me for free …no you as an individual can go to all manufactures and buy an full subscription or a DIy per use subscription …so yeah auto and equipment manufactures are giving you the right to repair there just not going to give you the information tools and parts for free………… but every automanufature sels there parts there tools and there softwares to the public ….or you ca buy aftermarket tools software and information ..but no no manufacture has to or should be expected to give any of this away for free ………… but they do make is so you can get access to what is needed to DIY your car
