As you know Scotty, any new tech has to survive seasonal changes in temperature and humidity from northern Canada to Death Valley and rainforests, but sure, Tesla could easily be displaced, though I think more likely that they would license Toyota's tech.
I can’t complain, I own a Toyota and it has never given me any issues. Toyota is by far the number one car manufacturer in the world in my book, reliable and doesn’t break the bank.
