Japanese cars are great quality because of an American quality engineer named Edwards Deming. Detroit told him to pound sand so he went to Japan after WWII and shared his great quality and management philosophy with the Japanese, specifically Toyota. And look where we are today! I only drive Toyotas! Top manufacturing award in Japan is the Deming award! Love Scotty!

The only shock the car industry is going to have is these fools mass producing electric vehicles during a recession/depression economy with insane sticker prices the average working class person or family has no way of affording. Its a fad, a social statement to purchase one. Gas/combustion engines will be around for many more decades. You'll see a change once these woke politician's in charge now are out of control and pipelines are back pumping oil like 2-3 yrs ago.
electric vehicles might make sense as base people movers in metro centers with moderate weather, but as a truck, or in a cold climate, or out west with long distances? I think not. there's enough videos out there testing the ford ev trucks doing truck things. one charge won't get you 100 miles.
EV's are a huge scam. Hybrids work but the mining of lithium and the waste it produces is waayyy worse than the emissions from oil.
GM can not even build ice vehicles All I see is GM tail lights out when I travel the roads!
