Look up "Ghost House in Japan"
These are homes that were occupied with families and folks 40 years ago. The children grew up, the parents died, now those homes sit empty. Empty for DECADES.
Japan has some strange tax laws based on the size of a car. The US sized Camry would just be too expensive to use in Japan unless you have more money than brains… and you would probably own a Mercedes or such.
Like the Ford Mustang, I know the Camry and Corolla will probably last in the US. For my personal preference, especially the Camry over the Accord because of its normally aspirated engine. And the 4 cylinder is adequate power, as I think it's wise to now have the V6 only for the TRD. The SE is one of my serious considerations for my next vehicle, only overshadowed by a small SUV or upcoming Toyota Stout pickup truck to carry taller items I may need to transport to and from my storage space and other times. Still a great sedan for the US if you want something bigger than the Corolla or Civic.
Just like Amerika, Japan needs to evolve, or die. Comprehensive changes need to be made to the country as a whole to restore that kind of faith in the future. People need livelihoods they aren't constantly worried about losing, they need housing options they can reasonably afford, affordable food, transportation, childcare options, Healthcare, Gender Equality, the list goes on mate. It isn't as simple as throwing a couple of bucks at us one time and do nothing else to remedy what got us here in the first falling place.
