They scammed Scotty into thinking they were the most reliable cars on the planet.
I love Toyotas but hate their dealerships
The Big Lie – Trump trumps Nixon in the endless lie category, by light years!
Another thing the dealer may do is offer you to trade in your old Toyota for the new model.
Then name the dealership so other do not get taking
After doing my brakes with my version of Scotty in Racine Wisconsin, I got an oil change coupon from A Honda dealer for a cheap oil change, so I took my Accord there.. After the oil change, the tech said I needed a brake job and he quoted 1200 bucks. Well I had just done my brakes and knew they were good so I refused the service at which time he told me it was unsafe to drive and that when I drove it, I would feel a 'mushy' drive which indicated the brakes were bad. SO I drove it and sure enough it was kind of mushy, so I called my guy. He said; check your tire pressures; what some dealers will do is let the air out equally from all four tires and it will mimic a mushy ride. I asked what about the tire pressure sensors and he said that the sensors only indicate if one or two tires are low; if all tires are low it won't register as bad. I checked my pressures and all 4 tires were set down to 16 pounds. This could have caused a serious accident but the dealer didn't care; he was hoping I would drive back and pay him 1200 bucks and all he would have done is re-inflate my tires; pretty damned expensive air. I complained to Honda corporate and never heard back, obviously they couldn't care less about their customers.
You sure get excited
We leased a 2017 forester and had it serviced only at a dealer. Then we had someone hit us and went to the repair shop. It turns out the dealer was swapping parts. When it came to trade it in we gave it back to thst dealer. We had to threaten to call corporate because because didn't want tot are the car back
My Toyota dealership told me my Solara with 275 km. was unsafe and needed $4,500 worth of work. The car was working fine. I stored it and plan to fix it myself if can anything worth fixing.
lol the guy saying corolla was the worst car he ever owned. easier to blame the car than admit they got fooled into needless repairs.
why dont stupid dealers just sell people complete fluid drains or flushes if they're trying to swindle even if the fluid change is a little too early they can mildly swindle people lol. fluids a few years old are good idea to drain. plus there are brake services and changes and tire sales they can do and they should compete with smaller garage prices a little. bread and butter stuff. rotate the tires. oil changes. wiper blades. clean up the throttle body and MAF sensors. do lots of little things for everyone and they'll make bank. sell some accessories for cheaper, the prices are really stupid at dealers, they would sell more if the prices came down. lots of things. sell a detailing job to clean up cars. but they just want to charge insane needless repairs of toyotas lol
