The Honda Dealerships are outright thieves! hands down
I avoid dealers for that reason. If they had viewing windows for customers in waiting room could see their cars being worked on then I will consider going to a dealer.
You cannot even trust your doctor, unfortnately. Nowadays.
Les Schwab told my girlfriend that our silverado needed a new rack and pinion for hundreds of dollars after just wanting a rotation! IT DOES NOT HAVE A STEERING RACK!!!!
Sad; at one time, the Japanese used TQM (Total Quality Management) on all vehicles they produced; they would find defects & replace those parts to the extent of recalling vehicles and pulling parts from shelves. These days they just push the cars out w/o any care.
Scotty, help us 4th gen 4 Runner owners out who Toyota screwed with the melting dashboards.
Maybe the Toyota dealer is tired of not having to repair anything on the Toyotas he sells? So he makes things up.
”Do not trust anybody” …Pope appears in the corner
Never tell the mechanic what you think you need. Ask them for a diagnosis. "Customer says" is always a bad idea.
I use to work for Evanston Toyota. ( They're out of business now) car dealers don't make much off new car sales. It's the service department that rakes in the money.
