I just had the 4 year maintenance service done on my Tesla. Brake fluid flush, coolant flush, AC desiccant bag replaced, new wiper blades, fob batteries and cabin air filter.

  2. EVs for Donkeys 2018

So I gotta ask what about BMW i3?…same as Bolt numbers or model 3?

Good reviews Brian. How long should the electric motor(s) in an EV go before they need maintenance? They are running whenever the car moves, have moving parts, are part of the regenerative braking system, and must have wear. Thanks

Maintenance seems cheaper for sure, but those things aren’t free. At least you don’t have to pay 60-100 bucks a year in oil changes. And with cars like Teslas, now that people are buying ones with tons of miles on them, they’re discovering (expensive) faults. Sometimes the motors need replacing at eye-watering 4 (5?) digit price tags, and other times those big nice screens go bad, which can be 3-5k from my understanding. Hoovie mentioned these repairs having been done on his Model S.
