My Ford Mondeo 2005 2L gasoline has a Mazda designed engine ( Duratec) and it is very good. Smooth as silk and quiet.
That mazda is same platform as the ford edge and mkx lincoln aswell as the cx9… The cx7 has a smaller motor then the cx9 and the other mkx and edge

I bought 2017 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Mica Red with 43.000 miles on it for 23.000. Love that car. More luxurious even over 50.000 $ SUV. Very comfortable ride, quiet and great handling.

Actually Scotty, These L3VDT engine’s do need to have timing chain replaced. Specifically the VVT actuator which is known to go bad in these between 80-100,000 miles
