    Very cool video- I wouldn't use that thread. It may cross thread going togather and be very hard get apart in the future especially if its in a hard to get to place.

    Pete, i'm coming in a little late here, I own that tool, its a chinese pos. Even with good cutting oil, use both tape& dope and tighten an extra turn, cause just like you have said many times, "you get what you pay for" !!! That"s a tip from your friend John 🙂

    also if you only have a handful of cuts.. lowes or home depot will cut and thread it for you free for like the first four and then $1 each after i think

    Next time have your helper pump threading and cutting oil on the dies as you are cranking on the tool. It will cut faster and smoother. I’ve cut lots of thread with the same setup, albeit mines twenty years older. (Maybe made better by HF back then? Who knows?) They work good for smaller jobs or occasional use.
