I've noticed that Harbor Freight is starting to upscale products while (thankfully) maintaining their "disposable" brands. I think that's great. Some things like their pipe threaders you just don't care if they last beyond the project right? But my Daytona extended jack, Bauer vac, blower, mini vac, Chief Air Tools etc I spent decent money on and they are just damn good quality. Have you seen the new Baxter air tool line???? I think Harbor Freight in a few years will be the go to brick and mortar shop. They only thing I hate is their lack of store inventory online
the dies are replaceable, take those cheap ass dies out and put in Rigid brand parts.

Pete. It’s not a flaired thread it’s a tapered thread. Black pipe is usually for gas lines.
I used 11/4 schedule 40 plastic. It has a bursting pressure of 300PSI and my compressor kicks off at 120PSI. I just chopped it off with mt PVC cutter and glued it together.
Most of harbor freight stuff is poor quality. I had a brand new sandblaster in the box stored in my garage for about 8 months before I finally opened it up to use and found the hoses rotted beyond use. Also a motorcycle jack that rusted from the inside out until the paint peeled away to reveal the damage. Our military built battle ships using chinese steel and I'll bet dollars to donuts they are finding out they can't keep those ships from dissolving into the ocean.
i will never run pipe air lines again in my life, new pipe at the home centers is china garbage. have had nothing but issues with rust in my pipes. use pex or sch 80 pvc and be done
