the heavy oil is not a terrible idea if you drive your car hard i know this video is for the average joe but slightly heavier oil is good fo when you beat on the car is cause the operating temp is higher than just driving it around town..

Years ago, my daughter ruined the fuel pump in her car, by always driving it until it was almost empty. $$$
Out of curiosity, if my car has a fuel warning light, and that comes on before I get gas, am I doing damage to the fuel pump, or does the damage only occur if I allow myself to run out of gas completely? I ask because sometimes, not always, sometimes I can’t swing a fill up right away, and have to run the tank under a quarter. But, once that fuel light comes on, I make the gas station my next stop. I try to limit how often this happens.
