Go figure my best friend Toyota salara has the ENTIRE fram rusted out and he always brags about it never spending a night in the cold
Scotty, I go the beach(Seaside Park) everyday. My 1990 5-speed Plymouth Laser(my favorite car I ever owned) rusted out on me. I gave it away 19 years later with over 230,000 miles on it. My 1996 and 2008 Chrysler Sebring convertibles never showed any rust. Was it due to the difference between the immersion baths these cars subjected to during the manufacturing process? Also, what do you think about things like NuFinish which claim to be good 1 year between waxings? BTW, I use it on my headlights. NuFinish seems to protect it from getting "headlight glaucoma".
I've came to a conclusion… Everything destroys your car!
Rev up your rustoleum
Rust never sleeps.
these new painted brake rotors are a joke, they call them platinum or premium rotors, all they did was take the old basic cheap rotors and spray paint them and now charge 5 dollars more for the same brake rotor. and I had people demand the new painted rotors, some times I will ask them, ok, what does it do? they reply, ooh it will make the rotor last longer, I don't say a word, brake rotors are made so thin these days that once you wear out the brake pads they are done and will need new rotors for the new brake pads. and turning down the old used painted brake rotor will make it crazy thin and warp. so paying the extra money for painted rotors is just a parts maker and parts dealer scam.
Scotty, I wouldn't drive that celica in the rain & would garage it too – that way its body could outlive us! Even a Vega wont rust if it dont get wet. Too bad about that one – the early ones were very handsome!
Scotty im in Houston how do I get in contact with you to bring my car in to get checked. Its making a exhaust load sound
Hey Scotty I live in buffalo, I parked my vw in a garage and the paint was bubbling a little before, figured it wouldn't be worse after, but it's worse any idea
