    Hey Scottie I have a 01 Chevy Silverado 5.3 V8 has trouble starting only when it’s cold when it’s warms starts up fine. When it has trouble starting it will backfire and then crank right up. What do you think could be the problem?

    I just always disconnect the battery for a full day to let the ECM caps drain slowly but may try the resistor just to see if it works any faster. But i agree with you about touching the battery cables together can cause problems. Just leave the battery disconnected for 24 or more hours.
