One of the very few port injected engines left out there. And the valves are adjustable if you need to.

what is the best scan tool for a DIY for BMW's? And it should to other cars as well. Willing to pay for extra car modules if it makes economic sense ie, do that rather than get a big $ pro tool

Scotty, that scanner ain’t cheap. I found prices around $3000. There is a cheaper model, around $400-500. Is that the one you’re recommending for us shade tree mechanics?

Scotty – about the small battery issue – What would be the problem with relocating it to the trunk (or somewhere else) as to fit the largest battery?

You should point out, how right the guy was by doing 55mph. I told an employee on a trip from Canada to Florida not to exceed 100kilo per hour/60 mph, while pulling a trailer with a minivan. I would wake up from a nap and he would be doing 140. Had to change the motor when I got back and the tranny went soon after. You can pull a heavy trailer by taking it easy, but you will kill the vehicle and leave yourself stranded if you push it hard.
