what about sustainability? If we could roll out this system would this minimize the mining and environmental damage that is caused in order to build the batteries? I feel like people who buy EVs think they are being "green", but that's far from the truth. Sure, less emissions, but more damage to our earth. Supposedly at this rate we will run out of the primary minerals to make batteries by 2050.
To make this concept work it seams you would have to have a standardized battery size that would fit in all brand cars.
Those NIO sedans are absolutely drop dead gorgeous.
Battery swap….who knew?
Interestingly, when Tesla was first growing, they planned on having swappable batteries. For some reason Musk shelved that plan. I, for one, wouldn't buy an EV without a swappable battery.
That’s an old idea. When I bought my car I paid a subscription fee for the engine. It didn’t come with one. Everyone thought I was stupid like Scotty Kilmer. You know what they were right. If you buy this car you’re STUPID.
And when the subscription price goes up, and it most definitely will, whata ya gonna do? Call Scotty.
