Mercedes Benz and Ferrari, selling for a minority of the people? I still do not like that Mercedes Benz decided to eliminate the owners access to the hood of their EVs. You are correct: I immediately thought about the Flux Capacitor explained by " Dr. Brown " in the 1st movie of Back to the Future when I saw the name Axle Flux. Years ago I read Toyota's opinion was that EVs are too expensive for most of the people so they believe the Fuel Cell is a better alternative. That Mercedes and Ferrari are, going to be the leaders in EVs engines? Gives Toyota Opinion from years ago the reason for their opinion; Neither Mercedes nor Ferrari are known for making reliable vehicles like Toyota. I just do not see myself having to visit an electromechanic only to service my vehicle in the future without the possibility of learning myself or not even been able to open the hood of my vehicle anymore. Is this also a Planned Obsolesence strategy from 2 of the most expensive car manufacturers?
Scotty one of the big issues with electric vehicles, especially work trucks is that increased load destroys the range vs diesel and gas engines, do you think this type of motor will bring them closer to solving that problem?

Battery technology is the problem. The motors don't matter much. Also, how will Mercedes build these without Russian oil and methane to run their factories?

Germany is de industrializing , at the rate they are going Mercedes won't exist by 2030 , they can't keep the lights on now they have no chance of charging cars as well .
Total EV is a pipe dream…..the WEF plans you should be walking around-if you can- and eating shite/bugs- but they wont be doing any of that
I enjoy your program,not a lot of auto mechanics /tech's keep pace like I have seen you do.I think phasing in EV'S for some folk's is good . eventually we will have an ice and ev for different uses.
