Yes indeed Mr. Kilmer. You are awesome.

  2. Dave Nicholson

Cool idea but it's going to use the same expensive fire hazard batteries. and those cells won't last forever, or not even that long. really. I'm guessing these cars are still going to need charging.

  3. Whywyemee

But Scotty, that car is ugly as dirt.

  4. GEAUX FRUGAL

What happens when they key the car ?

  5. Jeffro Bodine

I still have a poster from the 1988 Chicago Auto Show with the solar powered General Motors Sunrunner.

  6. GrandWizard

Solar is built by Chinese slaves!!!!!!

  7. I Chose Hampture

Lightyear One is by far the superior solar car. Then again, it's also 5x the cost, so it damn well ought to be.

  8. Jeff Ruebens

Similar to the Aptera, but that has 3 wheels instead of 4 to go by motorcycle instead of car regulations so it is cheaper. The Aptera is designed to be as light as possible for longer range. It might end up like the Elio, taking reservation money and so far not getting built. That one started with a 3 cylinder gasoline engine, now an all electric if they ever build it. They lined up Pep Boys shops for warranty work and other repairs.
