I have a 1999 tahoe with the 5.7 vortec. Only thing I've ever had to do to it is the intake manifold gasket and and normal maintenance. Early 2000s chevy was crap but the older ones are freaking tough!

Well i owned a 79 and 86 caprice classic both 305 under the hood.They were fantastic cars! Also 93 Lesabre 3800 excellent again. I guess after 2008 it became bad! I'm guessin haven't owned GM since then.
I have 300,000 miles on my 5.3 GM , can I get a refund.? Iwas told that only Toyota’s are good
$2,500 for a key? Jesus, I got a new one for my Volvo from a dealer, and that cost $400. That was outrageous!
They going to have lawsuit with GM Korea also as there having issues with certain GM models like the Trax, & Encore with transmission whining noise. GM should just shut down as there getting so bad especially with the Mexico plant.

I had read that the law suit was going to cover 2011or 2014 to present model year models.
