Yeah often thought a gearbox would be a solution to higher electricity consumption of single speed electric vehicles especially at higher road speeds to reduce rpm.
Hey Scotty, EVs may not necessarily need a transmission to solve the problem. I think Teslas run front & back optimized for different rpms. The rear one is high torque for fast acceleration and the front is is optimized for higher cruising speeds.
The government wants us to all have EVs so they can tax everyone by your mileage not gallons.
HI Scotty, I have a question for you that seems to have stumped every mechanic in my town. The vehicle in question is a 1994 Chevy 6.5 Turbo Diesel 2500 4×4 truck. This is what it is doing: when it's hot outside like 70-75 degrees + and only when it's hot out the vehicle dies when slowed down rapidly, like in the case of taking a turn off the highway that requires deacceleration from like 55 to 15-20 MPH. If I let it sit for like 5 minutes, it basically always fires right back up. Even if the engine is hot, this doesn't happen in the wintertime. It has a new injection pump in it, a new fuel lifter pump, new fuel filter and I have replaced all of the temperature sensors at least once (one of them twice). I'm thinking of replacing the FFM (fuel filter manager) and all adjoining hoses, sort of just because it appears it hasn't been done for the life of the vehicle. Any insight?
Wait wait wait…are you saying that car companies market the car based on optimal conditions and those numbers are better than real-world applications? Inconceivable!
Hey, the auto companies and dealers are also killing EVs! Who wants to pay $80,000 for an EV Lightning!
What ever the stated range on these electric cars, you need to cut that in half. That is what the EV industry are not telling customers. You are correct Scotty.
Do yourself a favor and say no to ford focus!
My stepfather buys a lot of junk cars, and he went trough 3 fords in a couple of years.
My mom drives our passed grandmothers toyota avensis and it still runs to this day.
When you realize one bad cell out of 7000 will make the battery a paperweight. When they grind up used cells and turn it into black mass as it is called they have no method to get anything back out. The proposed method shows billions of tons of CO2/GIGANTIC energy usage being produced to get a very small amt. of metals back out of it. It's a big lie people, it is WORSE for the environment than ICE.
Forcing EV’s is nothing more than another way for the government to take away your rights and control you. Free enterprise should dictate what cars are made and purchased period.
