When I heard about electric cars I thought the batteries would be removable like a flashlight. The battery fails no big deal just put in a new one and recycle the old one. Maybe have multiple batteries so if one fails you could at least make it home.

    $22,000 to replace the battery?
    NO NO NO NO NO!!
    THIS IS A BAD SYSTEM

On the battery drain issue, for fords, clean & dry lube the door contacts.

Planned obsolescence. Nothing is meant to last , including electric cars. Tesla is just accelerating the process 🙂

You're just silly. Of course EV cars will be better. 5-10yrs from now a lot of infancy problems will be gone. The problem is the gov't is pushing all electric much faster than the grid and supply will be built.

Hey Scotty, I found the perfect car for you me and loads of your audience. It's the Bajaj Qute lol

Ya I find toyota's electical componants to be good for well over 100k miles. I've had a 3.0 subaru outback boxer for 7 years now and over 130k. Knock on wood but I've never put a penny into the engine, transmission or electrical system. Other than new spark plugs and oil changes. Runs like a champ but I have had to replace all the suspension bushings….could be because I'm in the rust belt also. I don't know anything about the reliability of the subaru 3.6 boxer paired with the cvt tranny though

EV's are a disaster on every level , over 300 times more chips than a basic ICE car….when EV's get to about 8 years old the huge majority will be scrap !!!!!!
