In uk some taxi drivers are protesting because infrastructure is not ready and it takes long time to charge even if they get space to charge their taxi. Secondly emissions from newer petrol and diesel cars are already too low.
Also where the electricity is coming from is something we need to debate.
In my opinion EV’s will more likely to fail in next ten years.
Yeah I’ll buy one when it can be charged in 2mins. Also it has to last 25 years without having to replace the battery or motors just like I haven’t replaced engine or transmission in my 25 year old ICE car and the battery can’t cost 10K
My wife saw one have a rear wheel fall off after the rear axle or something broke
If the car could independently charge itself that would be the way to go.
It's Palestine . Or if u want to he more specific It's occupied Palestine!
We just don’t have the infrastructure yet for EV cars to be effective.
Can you please do a video on Chrysler aspen? Plz?
People that charge their EV at home have higher electricity bills. The charging stations around town are connected to the power grid. A lot of electricity comes from natural gas and coal. We are still using fossil fuels 🤦. I don’t see the benefit.
Here's the problem with inductive charging or IC. Everybody's familiar with IC if they have one of those new cellphones that have Qi charging capabilities. It's super convenient. But you'll notice that your phone has DIRECT CONTACT to the charging surface. IC power dissipates based off of distance. It's called the "rule of squares" meaning that the power drops off by the square of the distance. Yeah, I know…kinda vague. Suffice it to say that even the very best Qi chargers will only give you 90% of the power that the charger is using to charge your phone. This means that there is a 10% loss! And that's with the phone sitting directly on the charger! Move the phone half an inch away from the charger and the efficiency drops to 65%. The further away, the more loss. Now, imagine this IC road that people claim will charge your car. This road will need to consume 100% of the electricity and only give the car 65% (I'm being generous here). Using math here, the road will need to consume 300% of power to charge 2 cars. Extrapolate this out and you can see that you will need a small city power station to charge a hand full of cars. And that's not the worst part! Did you know that if you charge your car at a public charging station, you will get 100% of that energy for your car. But if another person charges their car from that same station, the charging switches to 50% for you and 50% for the other car! So NOW your 80% charge in 30 minutes is only 40% charge. Kinda sucks…And! People who use public charging stations to primarily charge their EVs end up paying MORE per mile driven that people who drive gasoline powered cars. Yeah..you can charge at home…but from what I've seen by people at work, very few actually do…most forget to plug in when they get home!
It's all about the rich living without pollution and pushing pollution to the poor countries. It's plain evil.
