A Professional auto mechanic reviews a scan tool that is very capable and very comparable with the OEM scan tools but it’s a budget one that typically is a lot more expensive for it’s capabilities.
In this video we’ll take a look at the XTOOL D7 scan tool. Most people would look at this scan tool on amazon and think boy here’s another generic looking scan tool that can’t do much and cost a fortune. This is where we’re wrong. This is a very impressive scan tool feature wise I think it super justifies It’s price as it can pay for itself with a couple of uses saving you having to pay a shop to use their expensive scan tool.
If interested Here’s a discount code from the manufacturer

I said this in the video but in case you’re reading here READ THIS!
If you are not a DIY mechanic or don’t want to really dig into heavy diagnosis, Then this scan tool is overkill. Stick with blue driver or Carista and you’ll be good. If you do your own repairs but find yourself always going to a shop because the simple scanner you got is incapable then this is a good option for you.
This scan tool is not cheap, but for what it’s capable of doing it is a very good value.

I used TIS though I can't afford the subscription. I am thinking this should also allow you to specify tpms sensor tire pressure. I set it using TIS since changing from P series to TL tires the tire shop didn't set that sensor for the right pressure. Original pressure would be too low for new tires. Currently that laptop is down & since I don't have a active subscription. The rest of the features which you showed does look like TIS. I only use this for 2 trucks at home. I don't have a shop. The issue with the cord should be able to fix it by just replacing the kaizen foam, if it still wouldn't fit I would probably end up putting it in a packout case. Good to know that the battery doesn't last long.
thanks for the great video

Hi
Can a pcm be programmed with this bidirectional model.?
The reason I'm asking is bc I've seen several model of the same brand on eBay. Thanks.!
Can this reset the 2014 Lexus GS transmission adaptation/relearn?
Might be something to look at considering $500 is an easier price to pay vs $1,600 to $2,000 for an Autel I have been looking at.
Did you note if it could activate solenoids within a transmission, such as a PCS in a GM product?
For how long?
