Do you have an opinion on these "wet belts" Ford is using on all their new motors. Its a belt inside the motor than runs the oil pump. They claim its a "liquid cooled kevlar belt" and say it won't have to be changed for the life of the engine. They are in the 2.7 ecoboost and the 5.0 V8, I'm not sure what other motors they are using them in.
I'm worried that maybe it won't snap but the rubber teeth might sheer off over time and clog the oil pump and blow the motor. If it was an easy part to replace under maintenance I wouldn't be so worried but it looks like a huge job if you wanted to preventatively change them out.
Thanks for your great videos Scotty.
If only we had a govt. that wasnt bought and paid for by Corp. F Corp. Power to the people. F Corps. including the military indust. garbage complex Dare to dream
Catalytic converters were excellent jnvenntions, they along with annoying egr valves make the gas burning vehicles safe for the environment, there should be a bigger price to pay for catalytic converter theft
Scotty, I'm a Master Electrician w/ 42 years under my belt and I agree with you 100%
Do NOT buy an EV for at least another decade {{OR2}}
They are more harmful to the environment then gas vehicles and can't travel a decent distance YET…..
You don't get an EV to save the Earth; you get an EV to embarrass the guy at the light next to you in his Hellcat or Corvette or something…..
Just saying!!!
Long live the Republic!!!
97 and 09 are very different computers bad advise
Only thing that actually goes wrong on the 2015+ Escalade's (and all GMTs) is the 8 seed 8L90 transmission. However in most cases the problem is covered by GM's warranty extension and if not all it really needs is a complete fluid change from Dexron VI to Mobil 1 LVP HP Synthetic. The old fluid held too much water and debris in suspension and caused solenoids to malfunction and the valve body to become clogged. Usually the tech will open it up, flush the assembly with parts cleaner, install a new filter and flush the system using the approved machine that maintains the natural pressure and flow required of the system. That combined with a retune of the TCM solves the problem in the majority of cases. I bought a badly neglected 2015 for cheap, did the maintenance and have fixed little issues caused by the previous owners but the truck still runs strong after 150k miles and I tow frequently. ALWAYS maintain your vehicle properly and you will avoid the majority of problems.
Why are the new Ford F150 tail lights not covered under warranty?
I blame the leaky light fixtures on the eco friendly plastics being used today.
🤬😡😠🤬 so I could have taken off, straight piped the lower cat. F×ck. Of course, thank you government.
