    Honestly what people should take away from Scotty is that you shouldn't buy old used cars unless you want to work on your own car or if you don't mind throwing your money away having someone do it for you. People generally don't get rid of a car until they are sick of it's issues or they are expecting issues to come because they know they haven't treated the car properly as far as maintenance. I've only ever buy used because my dad is a mechanic and everytime something went wrong he used it as a lesson to teach me his trade. Over the past 10 years I've learned engines, brakes, transmission, suspension, etc basically everything except for body work and electrical. If I didn't have that opportunity to learn I would of spent tens of thousands in repairs over the years guaranteed. Leasing new econo cars and switching out every few years is probably the best option for most people since most people are too lazy to even change oil and change filters. Some people are too lazy to even bring their car down to have someone do it for them. Just saying.

    had E46 at 80k miles drove it everyday until it got 205k gave it to my cousin he still drives it
    money i spend on it to keep it on the road?i would say about 800$
    got a G35 07 coupe at 60k now is 178k on it still running just fine money i spend on it till now?
    150 replaced valve cover gasket thats all
