I just bought the xv 2022 last month. Never driven an AWD car before but I can tell that handling curves felt much safer. Great car!
So my 2017 Subaru legacy probably doesn’t have a head gasket problem.. Got a burnt sugar smell, so checked the coolant level and under the oil filler cap. Don’t notice any leaks and cap seems clean..
Maybe I’m imagining smells.. Just don’t know what else it could be?
Hopefully my mechanic can find the reason
Subarus are high maintenance vehicles.
I still have my 2016 STI with aftermarket Turbo, headgasket, catless downpipe, exhaust, and tune. Not the fan of how it rides on broken pavement, but always the perfect weekend and track car.

It's not a crossover, it's a 100% bonafide wagon. You can tell by the lack of body roll and the "rocking" when driving it
