i just replaced the alternator brushes on my 95 f150, its the 95 amp model, its a $500 truck i have had for 4 years, i should change the slip ring as it is showing wear, but it is charging fine now, one thing that puzzles me is my delco battery, in the little window that always was green has changed to red, it seems to still charge fine, holds a charge and starts the truck fine, weird

I've learned that. When the abs, airbag, batt, lit up like a Christmas tree, dash lights were dimming, and headlights was going out. Sputtering. Yep. Alternator went out. Annnd, it had oil on it, which caused it to fail. Due to the valve cover gasket leaking. Yep

4:00 highly underrated comment. I replace my battery, alternator and starter because my car wouldn't start at time. The terminal and cables were nasty. Replaced the terminals and cleaned the cables. Right after that started right away and 1 year later still runs!
