My grandparents both quit smoking cigarettes when they got to 50 cents a pack, because, "They got too expensive." My dad remembers when it was a quarter a gallon for gasoline. I remember when it was only $1.25/gallon. Now eggs are $4+ a dozen, milk is $5 for a half gallon. You don't make more money folks. The dollar has been devalued 2.5 times in the last 1.25 generations. More dollars doesn't mean more value.
