One of the reasons that the people in Japan drive their cars less than the U.S. is because the price of gasoline is currently over $5.00 per gallon. They also have an excellent mass transit system including the "Bullet Train" that does nearly 200 miles an hour.

My dodge vehicles have held up better than my fords and Chevy. Never owned a Toyota but I might one day.

I bought a 98 Dodge hi-top shorty conversion van with a 3.9, off the orig owner with 70K orig miles for $1500. A total steal, but it has def been an adventure. So I tend to agree with you on Dodge/Chrysler products. On my 4th ECM, 3rd water pump, (finally stopped ordering those off rockauto, and bought from AutoZone for the lifetime warranty.) What a nightmare to replace the thermostat on that thing! This is the first ever Dodge product I've ever owned, and it's been a real lesson learner for me. Put in all new AC system for well under $350. Also threw an inverter in it, along with a 32" Samsung smart tv and a soundbar. 4 captains chairs and a bench that converts into a bed. Vehicle was from NH, so there was plenty to do when I bought it. New calipers and rotors, besides running new brake lines. Had it now for 11yrs, and from down here in Naples Florida, I've traveled everywhere in this scary ride. Limoed out the windows so the cop in front of me can't even see me in there, so seatbelt is optional. But when the problems arise, and they always do, I wish I had a GM product. My uncle had a Pontiac dealership in Chicago, where I'm from originally. My fav cars are pre 82, and NO computer parts in them at all. No emissions in fl, so I always straight pipe my vehicles. Sidenote, never knew how much harder it would be to put my 355 Pontiac motor out of my totalled 77 Grand Prix, into a 80 El Camino SS! Seen a million Pontiacs have Chevy motors put into them, and I figured that it would be just as easy the other way around. BOY, was I wrong…
Anyways, all my best to you. You give very credible, sound advice. New subsciber here, and I am in no way, shape or form, a mechanic by any means. I learn as I go. Mother is the necessity of all invention. 🤙

Imagine selfdriving cars in Cairo….hahaha or any other place in Africa

You get autonomous cars driving on their own special roads, yet there will always be those idiots who will take those roads specifically or by "accident" for autonomous cars and ruin the entire infrastructure by causing accidents since like you said the autonomous cars will not know what the heck is going on when there's Steven with his pickup truck overtaking everyone and causing a crash.
