    I believe an F series BMW with a manual transmission has the best chance of 300,000 miles or more with its original engine and transmission. We shall see!

    e36 still have dumb issues. the injection on mine just stopped, everything else is fine, fuel pressure spark and all but the injectors just don't go. any input before I scrap this thing? its a 96 328i

    BMW simply does not care about durability and reliability anymore. If you can afford one you can afford the frequent maintenance required.

    I have an E36 M3 as a daily driver. For 5 years now and the only thing that has crapped out was the starter. Everything else I've done so far is preventative maintenance. It's in good hands.
