Why do you need a tach with a CVT?

One thing most techs and people don't know about the Jatco CVT- It's got a hidden very fine material filter behind the cooler that bolts to the case and it stops up around 50K sometimes earlier for folks that drive aggressive. Since it doesn't get changed, it causes the trans to run too hot and fail a lot quicker.

I haven't watched yet but it's gotta be a Nissan CVT or a Honda Odyssey cvt

I don't want to be a guinea pig, but we do need them. If no one bought new cars no one could buy second hand cars. The emission laws have forced technological advances, but the whole thing is a farce.

2011 2.5l Altima LS with CVT over 187,000 miles did own fluid changes every 20,000 on CVT along with every second change the little 4 /10mm bolts filter in front and also the mesh catch what some believe is a filter after dropping pan don't forget to clean pan magnet if don't have one get one.

What are your opinions on a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek AWD with the 2 L flat-four engine and the CVT transmission and the 2016 Subaru Outback AWD with the 2.5 L flat-four engine and the CVT transmission? I heard that Subaru CVT's are much more reliable than Nissan CVT's. For my opinion, I would not buy any vehicle with a CVT transmission, because how unreliable they were since manufactured (brand new) back then. Instead, I would purchase a 2004 Jaguar XJ8 full-size sedan with the 4.2 L V8 engine and the regular six-speed automatic transmission. These older Jaguar's still get better fuel economy than these newer Nissan's do. Thanks.

Yea those transmissions are garbage , You need to change the transmission fluid & filters once a year to keep them running correctly, Those jatco cvts have 2 transmission filters.

I'm still waiting for my 3 cyl Metro engine at now 277000 miles to wear out. I guess I have to change the oil every 20,000 miles to make Scotty look smart.
