Not just Apple CarPlay, don't forget about Android Auto. Toyota was slow to upgrade to new technology, so while Honda and others offered CarPlay and Android Auto in 2018, Toyota still did not. In fact, Toyota wouldn't support Android Auto until 2020. Toyota left customers without an outdated infotainment system (Entunes 2.0) and won't upgrade them. This means the only to get Android Auto on 2020 and older models is to replace the infotainment system with an aftermarket system
