Maxima can probably make it to 10 years without TERRIBLE issues especially if it's parked in a garage. I have an Altima that's already 8 years old and they were supposed to be Nissan's worst sedan so… I'd go for it if you REALLY like the way the 2018 one looks… It certainly ain't gonna age well I'll tell you that much. The 2019 Maxima even with just a refresh makes the 2018 look ancient. Cars improve and change way too fast for wild styling like the new Maxima to hold up. 2019 Lexus ES is just as wild and with a little more power and prestige behind the name. If you can afford premium sedans, can't go far wrong with either but Lexus in theory will last longer
