Automatic braking will be mandated in the USA in 2022? If that is the case then the last manual transmission to be sold here will be in 2021. I better save up money to trade my 2017 off to get the last manual transmission vehicle. I knew that one day manuals will become extinct in the U.S. they will be if you don't believe me. Carburetors became extinct here in the early 90's because of U.S. emission mandates. Now engines are getting smaller and turbo charged and direct injection with more valves to meet government emissions. One day I believe the push rod 2 valve will be extinct.

Shouldn’t reliability and durability factor into the measure of safety? If a car leaves you stranded in the middle of nowhere, who cares if it’s got NHSTA Five star rating? The thing left you stranded, compromising your safety!!!

I know some people are going to say the Tesla Model S has the highest safety rating ever. Well there's a difference between tested safety and real world safety. You're not going to be too safe in a Model S if it catches fire like some have. So in the real world, the Lexus RX350 is the safest.
