I keep a car for 20 years on average. I seriously doubt a modern electric car will last that long without MAJOR cost, or the battery, modules, or computer will be "obsolete".
Until electrics get cheap enough to be damn near disposable I'll stick to ICE cars.
For example.. I have not needed to drive most of 2020. With only some fuel treatment and a battery minder, my car started right up and is fine. Not so sure a Tesla will like sitting 8 months.

Yes electric cars are a bunch of crap I work in the automotive industry and I’ve been a mechanic for 30 years and I know this much, the batteries cost between three and five or $6000 plus installation for a hybrid not even a full electric car, and then you have an electric motor, those are the only two components to drive the car so I’m one of the other goes out you’re talking five grand OK, at least it’s ridiculous then you have to plug in your house, and they really know the effects of the omissions of making the batteries getting rid of the batteries, I never drive one of these things you can have them
