I know Scotty is old enough he'll be dead by the time these measures are fully implemented, but if modern human society wants to survive more than another 100 years, this energy switch is inarguably essential.
Friend of mine bought a hybrid Prius a few years ago and the freaking battery pack went out after 5 years. They wanted $4k to replace it all… And guess what, he didn't have the money so he had to sell the car for parts. What a joke….. My 93 F-150 hopefully will last another 350k miles! People who can't afford EVs will just buy older cars and keep the mechanics in business.
What are THEY going to do about planes, trains and ships ? I'm sure those zero emission laws, won't be applied to the government representatives. THEY'LL travel in luxury while, the less fortunate will ride in a buggy and horses. Are THEY trying to make a Mad Max movie, reality ?
