this entire video is proof that with the right bracket, you can make anything fit together. the cubans had to learn this the hard way because of politics. imagine what that life time of real world knowledge could do with access to the resources we have in the us. bet i'd have my jetson's flying belt by now.
You know, I've got a lot of respect for these mechanics. My family are originally from Iran, and Iranian mechanics are like this too. The difference is though, we can obtain the parts, as we are producers of them. However, the mechanics in Iran don't like to replace parts, but they prefer to restore them back to original standard. I think to myself, wouldn't it be a good idea for the Cubans to bring their experience and expertise to produce a vehicle, that suits their daily requirements, that is based on mechanical, rather than electronic parts, like most modern cars for their own people? Wouldn't this make more sense to do, something that is affordable and maintainable, that spare parts could be produced?
