They're doing this with everything. Worst part is that today they're deliberately built to last not as long long. Phones, computers, cars, etc. Apple will even go as far as suing smaller repair shops for not being certified by them for repairs. Tesla doesn't even let you buy parts for their cars! Lol, use it once and throw it away!

What do you think of buying a brand new one , and getting the extended warranty for 7 years
As they keep there design for 7 years , and I would be trading it in when the warranty was up, for the current model 7 years from now
