    There are cars which are easy to work on, but they are not sold in the US.
    One very simple reason is that Americans expect huge engines, usually V configuration, which fill up the engine bay. Many smaller Japanese cars or Eastern European ones like Dacias have small engines which means everything is well spaced in there, and accessible.
    Of course Americans do tend to do longer trips than people do in Europe or Japan and, to be polite, they are on average bigger and heavier. But anyone who complains about servicing costs of a car with an engine over 3 litres stuffed in there, really isn't thinking. If access is difficult, it's going to cost more. If the turbo has had to be stuffed in the well of the V to make it fit, it's going to get hot. If you're going to tow several tonnes at high speed in high temperatures, something is going to give.

    Chasing a misfire on a GM v8 can be an absolute nightmare. I spent a ton of money throwing parts at my suburban before I finally got him running right.

    thats prob. why my 05 camary kept misfireing i tradeed it in & it still ran good just the inj.seal was leakin when u pushed it in it stoped makein noise so get a new seal or inj. & reset the code & that might of fixed the misfire code & check engin light being on i allways wondered why it said misfire thks.for future misfires lol.
