I hope Toyota buys Jeep brand, Jeeps sell like hotcakes in Japan.

I'm thinking about buying a Wrangler YJ and sticking a 5.3 lm7 truck motor in it ( with a decent cam ) .

A Toyota Corolla with a GM badge …the Chevy Prizm, probably the only reliable GM car ever made recently. …lol.

Renault used to own AMC who had the Jeep brand until it was sold to Chrysler. It used to be called Franco American Motors. Renault sold the 5 in the U.S. and called it the Le Car, but we referred to it as the Le Junk.

So basically if it isnt toyota, it sucks
Omg that merge will never happen. Jeeps are the hottest and fastest selling vehicles next to fords f150

I didn't have to worry about changing transmission fluid in my G6 with 52K miles. The whole transmission had to be replaced. :-/

If Renault brought fiat it would be a marriage made in heaven they are both rubbish at the minute

Thoughts on 2011 bmw 328i xdrive with 43k miles for 13,000, is it a safe bet and btw it has a clean Carfax, no problems yet

HA HA!!! So Jeep might come full circle. My 2001 Jeep XJ (Diamler/Chrysler) was originally designed by Renault in the early 80's owned by AMC.
Back then AMC/Jeep sold Renault cars along side Jeeps. Then Chrysler bought out AMC, and Jeep started going down hill. Renault gone.
Too bad Renault and more importantly FIAT are such poorly assembled and engineered vehicles these days. Too much plastic and expensive.
Maybe Jeep should get back to its AMERICAN roots and build all metal vehicles like they used to. Give the masses what they really want.
