I don't think anything will happen to Jeep. They are too profitable and any company with a slight amount of interest in ChryCo is only interested in Jeep (and Ram). But Dodge and Chrysler? Yeah. Their clock is ticking. Give them 5 years until they are a name simply in memory.

Renault has owned Jeep already in the past, as they owned American Motors which included Jeep and sold it to Chrysler. They survived well then, and would survive now to, especially as fat buggers like them.
I had a chevy prizm, burned oil like it was going out of style. Had under 100 K too, regular oil changes. Roll down windows and three speed auto, with almost forty MPG.
