Best thing you can do for a used car is get bare minimum liability insurance and then learn how to fix and maintain it yourself
You just need a mechanic that is smart enough to write up the problem correctly so it will be paid. Obviously some are not very smart.
😎in 2013 I bought a 2010 Maxima from Nissan, along with THEIR extended gold-preferred warranty; 😊it covered nearly EVERYTHING except replacing the main harness; for that I went thru my ins, was no problem👍
Our warranty saved us $1500🤷♀️ Car kept running for 10 yrs after.
I 100% agree with "used" warranties I have one that I bought with my Ford Transit that I bought new. Love it, I have nearly 90,000 miles and I have yet to pay for an oil change or normal maintenance.
That's because many of them require a copay which is often 50% of the repair, the actual cost of doing the repair.
Insurance companies have the best lawyers. PERIOD. The average person does not understand legalese. Did you ever try to read a contract and comprehend it. The policy is a contract which is an insurance policy. CRAZY 😧
You better call Saul..
I have purchased 3 warranties on 3 cars. The first, was only $1200, I only had one covered repair ($800), so a $400 loss. The next two were about $2500 each and were more comprehensive. One paid for new Catalytic converters, and other repairs, well above the $2500 cost. The second paid for a new Hybrid Battery ($3800). Look very carefully at the wording and coverage before buying
I bought a used car. Tranny went out. Tranny got replaced. Didnt pay a single dime
